Julio López
Chairman
Julio comes from Guatemala where he was involved in the local church, as an elder. Julio arrived in Los Angeles in the late 1980s and has steadily built up a radio ministry to the Latino World. Julio is an elder at Iglesia Cristiana de Westminster (Westminster Bible Chapel, Spanish Assembly), and was commended in 2005 to full-time Christian work.
Herbert Gentle
Secretary
Herbert entered the U.S.A. from Belize, Central America, in the mid 1980s and since then has worked in Finances and Investments. Herbert comes to us with wide experience from his assembly in Belize and interaction with different nationalities in Central America. He has been a member of the LEM Board almost since its inception. He is currently an elder in his home church, Bethel Gospel Chapel, Gardena.
Lina Martinez
Treasurer
Lina started helping in the LEM office with bookkeeping duties and a few years later, she now serves as Treasurer. Her husband, Martin, is an elder for Iglesia Cristiana de Westminster and she attends Westminster Bible Chapel. They have three children.
Paul Luke
Member
Born in Pakistan, he understands the needs of Latinos as new immigrants. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and with his experience in that field makes a valuable contribution to LEM. He attends Westminster Bible Chapel.
Ariel Corral
Member
Ariel serves as the Treasurer for Iglesia Cristiana de Westminster where he has been a valued member since 1999. Ariel is a California State Certified Plumber, is married, and has four children.
Jesús Robles
Member
Jesús came to the U.S.A. from Guadalajara, Mexico, where he was trained as a Veterinarian. Jesús was saved soon after arriving in Los Angeles and has committed his life to the Lord and the preaching of the gospel. He fellowships at Iglesia Evangélica de Highland Park (Avenue 54 Bible Chapel, Spanish Assembly).
Douglas Whitney

Doug has for many years been a Deacon at Grace Bible Chapel, Fullerton. Doug is a Building Constructor and Property Developer where he employs a lot of Latinos. Doug’s late wife was a Mexican by birth and so Doug brings his expertise in the business world as well as his bilingual (English/Spanish) into LEM.
Richard Yarrall

Originally from New Zealand, Richard left a teaching career in 1970 to be a missionary in Colombia, South America. After 15 years of involvement in preaching the gospel, church planting and Bible teaching in Bogotá and Bucaramanga, the Lord called him to the U.S.A. to work among the vast Latino population. He arrived in Los Angeles in 1989 and has dedicated his to build up two Latino churches, one in Highland Park, Los Angeles along side Avenue 54 Bible Chapel and the other in Westminster alongside Westminster Bible Chapel. Currently he is involved in Bible Teaching, Emmaus Courses, Radio Ministry, Ladies work, special evangelistic outreaches and pastoral care. LEM was founded in 1992 to facilitate these aspects of the work.
John Duckhorn

John worked for 14 years in Colombia as a missionary, first in tribal work in the Eastern lowlands assessing the needs of the different tribes for translation work to be done and then in church planting and Bible teaching in Bogotá and Bucaramanga. John has worked with his home assembly Wauwatosa Bible Chapel, Milwaukee, since 1979 and currently functions as one of the elders. John has spear-headed the evangelistic outreach STEP to the Los Angeles area.
Rodney Hippenhammer

Rodney is a Construction Manager who resides in Pasadena. Rodney has worked for as an elder since 1972 at Avenue 54 Bible Chapel, Los Angeles. Rodney was one of the founding members of the LEM Board bringing his administrative expertise and Christian experience into the organization.
